The Freedom Grand Prix had some circumstances that changed up the event. I'll go ahead an integrate those circumstances into the story as I go.
After our morning to do's were done, I pulled out the trike and Wendy rode with me. LesLee followed behind in her car with Wendy's purse and phone.
As we came through the narrows, we got there just as the light was turning red for the construction. I told Wendy that she is bad luck, because the three previous times I went through, I got there just as, or just before, the light turned green.
When we got to Thayne, we stopped at True Value and picked up a couple things. As we arrived, once in the parking lot, I double checked that Wendy was holding on, and did a little back and forth with the handlebars, and gave a little throttle. This slightly lifted one of the back tires and then as it came back down, gave us some sudden power to the back tires which slightly lifted the front. I didn't give it enough throttle to do anything crazy, just enough to give Wendy a startle.
Once we were done there, we turned down the Thayne Freedom Road to take the back way into Freedom, which has more curves. LesLee fell a little behind, because I enjoy taking those curves a little bit faster than she does.
We arrived at Aunt Trudy's and found her in the trailer getting ready for camp. Wendy asked, "Do you want a ride?", but she replied not this year. This is due to the fact that she was in an accident around the end of May which broke her leg. Despite being able to get around quite well, from what I saw, she was concerned about getting on and off the trike.
While we were visiting the A/C unit and microwave clock shut off in the trailer, but a ceiling light was still on. After some research and double checking brakers and fuses, Uncle Dan went in the house and found that the power was out. Since the A/C and microwave won't work off the battery, they shut off.
Aunty Trudy finished one more basket and then we went inside and visited a while longer.
Wendy called Aunt Veloy, I didn't catch the entire conversation, but there was concern about a meeting with some people (daughter/son-in-law/and possible others).
It was decided that if we went over "right now", it should be fine.

You see, yesterday Uncle Veldon, Aunt Veloy's husband for 10 days shy of 71 years and about a month shy of his 90th birthday, passed away.
Due to his health, this does lift a weight off her shoulders, but it is still sad that he is not physically with us.
There are a lot of things that she now has to deal with, but happily, she has many people (family and others) assisting.
In fact, while we were visiting, Rigo (son-in-law) called her and conferenced in someone that needed some information so a form could be sent and a process started.
Rigo was very helpful coordinating between the two and making sure the exchange went smoothly.
I would be amiss if I didn't also thank Makenzie for making sure Veloy was at his side when he passed.

So, when we arrived, we said our hello's and gave out hugs, then we grabbed a stool and went out to the bike.
First I got on, then using the stool, we helped Aunt Veloy to get on the back.
We then got out the cameras to get pictures.
I handed mine to LesLee, and this little sneak took one of herself.

Once pictures were taken, we were off. We took the regular route, four miles over to the road that heads up Jackknife and then back to her house. She was very happy and greatful for the ride. As we pulled back into the yard, Wendy and LesLee come over and we successfully helped her off the bike.
We then went inside and spent some time visiting. Both reminiscing and discussing current situations. After a while, it was time for us leave, so we could finish our to do list before heading home. We gave more hugs and said our good byes and headed out.
Once again, Wendy was on back of the trike while LesLee followed. This time, LesLee just said, I'll meet you there, knowing that I would be a ways ahead of her. I did force Wendy to decide if we were going to go the back way again, or take the highway. She finally chose the back way.
We were headed to the grocery store in Thayne, and LesLee was right, she was a minute or two behind us.
After our shopping was done, we headed back home (Dad's house).

As we pulled through the narrows, just as we were coming up on the construction, the light turned red, right in front of LesLee. I don't know if it is LesLee, Wendy or both, but there is definately some bad luck going on here. After waiting 6-7 minutes, we were on the move again, and in no time we had traversed the 5.7 miles back home.
It is always a joy no matter what the circustances, because it is our special time together.

Loved this. Once again thanks for the ride.
