20241214 Toy Run

Dispite the call for rain this year, the sky was mostly clear and sunny. I got the bike loaded and lights on in the garage first.

When it was about time to head out, I pulled the bike out of the garage and got a picture before climbing on and heading across the river.

As I wondered through the parking lot, I got a picture of a couple bikes that have been regulars over the years.

I then ran into Art and we chatted, catching up, until it was time to head out.

I got this picture as we were starting to leave the parking lot.

The ride was actually quite warm for a day that was supposed to be unpleasent.

Once at the Salvation Army, we filled in and dropped off the toys as usual.

As I arrived back at my bike, the guy that let me sit on his saddle two years ago at the Harley Shop was getting ready to leave, chatting with another biker. Turns out, he comes down from the Southwick area and it was a bit slick and scary comeing down in the morning. Having ridden through there on my June ride, I can totally understand why that could be a little sketchy to ride at this time of year. He was giving himself pleanty of time to get home safe.

All in all, another good turnout.
