My sister Angela came to Wyoming to visit and we decided that we would take one of two rides. Either, we would ride to Freedom to give Aunt Veloy a ride, or we would go to Montpelier. Angela called and left a message for Aunt Veloy. We then learned that she was hurting and didn't think she would be able to ride. This is sad because we all know how much she enjoyed these rides.
A little before 10:00, we had the bike ready and started on our way.
We stopped at the top of Salt River Pass to take a couple pictures. The Valley is nice and green this year. (so far)
They are working on resurfacing the road and it looks like this is the current staging area.
We continued our way through the canyon and then through Geneva and on until arriving in Montpelier.
We pulled over at the park to decide what we wanted to do next. It was noon, and it was decided that we would have lunch.
First we headed over to Studebaker's Pizza. However, they had a sign in the window saying Take Out Only and they looked to be closed. So, we decided to go to El Jaliciense. This is where Andrew and I ate back in 2018 and the food is still good.
When we came out of the Restaurant Angela pointed out the storm clouds at the west. I said, we'll be fine.
As we started our return trip, we stopped at the Welcome sign to grab a couple pictures.
Making are way back, despite the clouds at our backs it was still on the extra warm side, at least enough for me to not wear my jacket.
We made it through the canyon, over the pass and down into Smoot before the clouds got close enough to smell.
We could see the falling rain on the west of the valley.
We made our way through Afton and back home without getting wet, but the clouds were right on our tail.
We both enjoyed the ride and the time together.
