First a little back ground... For the last year or two, I've been trying to talk myself into buying a new suit, as my current suit coat liner is wearing out. I'm not sure what finally triggered it today, but I checked the Men's Wearhouse site and saw that they were having a Memorial Day sale, which I believe is waht finally pushed me over the proverbial edge. So, I decided on a spur of the moment ride to Spokane.
Since it was a spur of the moment ride, I didn't do a lot of my normal preparations, so I ended up forgetting, or not taking a few things I would normally have with me. I did take my tools and tire repair kit, but I forgot my spare gas can. I took my 40oz Bubba Trailblazer with ice water, but I forgot a pain pill. (I did take a pill before I left.) I did remember my "back rest" which I almost forgot, but a quarter of the way to spokane I realized I didn't get any of my sizes for the suit.
Since I left town without a full tank, I did stop at the Coleman Oil in Uniontown, to top off.
Continuing on my way, the ride was uneventful and I pulled into the Men's Wearhouse parking lot around 10:30-ish. I pulled out my dress boots and locked the GPS and jacket in trunk of the bike before going in.
A gentleman got me measured and helped me find a suit coat and pants. I used my dress boots while trying on the pants because they have a little taller heal than my riding boots. The lady that does alterations made a couple marks and took note that I needed the cuff widened a little so it would fit over my prosthetic socket. I then paid, saving $90 because of the sale.
Before leaving the parking lot, I attempted to call Roberta, but she didn't answer, and successfully called Brad Anderson. I told him I was in Spokane and was checking if he was going to be around, because I would be passing his neck of the woods. He said they would be around and to stop by.
I re-situated things on the bike and headed towards Post Falls.
So, everyone know, you can't go by a Cabela's without stopping, so I took the exit and made my way to an open parking spot.
The center display was behind a long line of Traegers. And the mountain lion taking down a deer was over the fitting room.

After looking around and checking out several things, I did end up making an unexpected purchase. And was able to get it straped to the bike.
Now, I made my way to Coeur d'Alene turning off down 95 towards Moscow.
Since I didn't have my spare gas with me, I stopped in Plummer to fill up, not wanting to cut it as close as I might have.
I soon pulled through Moscow and on to and finally reaching the Anderson Ranch. Noticing that Brad was up by the shop, I pulled up there. We chatted for a bit and eventually made our way down to the house.
Shelley was busy getting ready for thier long trip in the motorhome. Jake (Taylor's husband) and Colter (their toddler) were hanging out. All while Brad and I were chatting about different subjects.
I then brought up the trailer that he may or may not borrow in August for their Sturgis trip. At which time we began brainstorming how to fit two bikes in the different trailers that are available, and whether or not they are going to take the Jeep too. We left the subject with several still unanswered questions that he has to think about.
Taylor arrived, not feeling well unfortunately, and we said our hellos at a distance.
They were needing to get to some family Memorial Day activities, so I said my goodbye's and made my way home.
The ride was approximately 270 miles. Not bad for a day I wasn't planning for.
