20200709 Auntie Freedom Grand Prix

The time has arrived once again for the annual Auntie Freedom Grand Prix.

In the morning, since I was running low, I ran up town to fill up the fuel tank. I wasn't paying real close attention as to where I was, so much so that when I came upon the station, I said to myself, Oh, I need to turn here. I missed the first entrance and came in a little hot at the second entrance. With the lot being mostly gravel, using my momentum and a little throttle to break the rear tires loose, I was able to drift in and get myself slowed down. My brother was there filling the bulk truck and shook his finger at me.

At about 12:30, I headed to Freedom. This year, I went alone.

I first stopped at Aunt Veloys, she got her shoes on, and we headed out to the bike. Uncle Veldon took a picture, and then we were on our way.

We take the same route each year, down the street until it turns to gravel and then back. This year, when we got to the gravel road, Aunt Veloy mentioned her surprise that the house that was there had been torn down. Once back at the house, I took a picture of Aunt Veloy on the bike and then we went inside a chatted for a bit.

Now, up the street to Aunt Trudy's, she put her shoes on, this time, I took the picture before the ride and then we headed down the street. Aunt Trudy was also surprised that the house at the gravel road was gone.

Upon our return, we went inside a chatted a while. After which, I took the back road into Thayne and then on home.
