20181208 Toy Run

I piled on the layers to keep warm, and was soon ready for this years Toy Run.

My first stop was to pick up my passenger, whom insisted that she get to go again this year. On our way to Primeland to top off the tank, I got a mad cramp in my left hip. It has a tendency to do that when I get on the bike wrong. I had to pull over and stretch it out. Akery felt a bit embarrassed sitting on the side of the road with this old guy doing stretches. Once I had worked it out, we continued on our way.

After we filled up, a gentleman commented on the trike and asked how I liked it. We chatted for a minute about the trike and the Toy Run that we were headed to. He thanked us for the information and sent us on our way.

Once we arrived at Lancer Lanes, and found a place to fit, we got in a picture together. We then began walking through the crowd to check out the bikes and see if we could find anyone we knew. I asked her a couple times if she wanted a picture with the bear, but she refused.

The only person that I actually knew was George.

It looks like the guy with the side car had a white design added.

We had a good crowd... It was thiiiis big.

Akery liked the way this bike was done up, with the wreath on the front and a tree mounted on the back.

And here's the group just before we mounted up.

Akery enjoyed the ride and waving at the people that came out to watch. I think Amber said it took a good four minutes for all of us to pass.

Arriving at the Salvation Army, we grabbed our toys and got in line. As we reached the back of the box truck, we aquired a couple more toys to carry in.

We enjoyed a treet and hung out for a while, until Akery decided she was ready to go. We then bundled back up and headed home.

I'd have to say, it was another successful event this year.
