I had been told that Eagle Creek was a good ride, so I decided to check it out. I also wanted to try out a new setup for the Hammock, so I packed it along with some water and a little something for lunch on the KLR. Once I was all set, I was on my way.
After passing through Waha towards Soldiers Meadow, I turn on to Zaza road and followed it until Eagle Creek Road. I followed Eagle Creek road, dodging water filled pot holes, large rocks and branches reaching into the road from the trees and bushes along side the road. The road then opened up and dropped down to the Salmon River.
I stopped here and ate my lunch, took a couple pictures and chilled for a bit.
I started the return trip, I pulled over about 11 miles from the river. There was a nice group of trees where I was able to find a couple that were well spaced. I pulled out the Hammock and set it up. I made a few adjustments between tries laying in it. I finally got it good and comfortable. I took a little time to enjoy it. Before taking it down, I took a couple pictures for reference.
I continued my way back, taking Stagecoach road to drop back into Waha. I stopped for a few minutes at the Waha Bar and Grill and then continued on my way.
As I pulled back into Lewiston, I stopped to visit my little princess. She happened to be in her Snow White outfit.
It was a fun little 78 mile trip.
